Natural Dermatology

The external and largest organ of your body, the skin has been treated by Chinese Medicine for years. Doctors in the Zhou Dynasty(1050-221 BCE) called yan yi mainly treated external skin conditions and wounds. And while there is no separate text for skin issues, many classic texts dating back to 652 BCE list dermatology in their indexes.

What occurs on the inside can affect the outside.

Natural dermatology is definitely more than skin deep and using Chinese Medicine diagnostic techniques such as observing your tongue, taking your pulses, and getting an in-depth history of your condition gives me the chance to look at your skin condition more holistically.

Skin conditions that I have seen in the clinic include, but are not limited to:

Acne
Dermatitis
Psoriasis
Rosacea
Alopecia
Herpes Zoster
Eczema

Chinese Medicine is about getting to the root of your problem holistically, encouraging your body to be in a better state of harmony and health.
